摘要: Background Plant invasions are causing habitat degradation in Galapagos. Problems concentrated on the four inhabited islands. Plants introduced to rural areas humid highlands and urban arid coast act as foci for invasion of surrounding Galapagos National Park. Methodology/Principal Findings Here we present results most comprehensive inventory date alien vascular plants The survey was conducted between 2002 2007, 6031 properties (97% total) Floreana, Isabela, San Cristobal Santa Cruz Islands. In total 754 plant taxa were recorded, representing 468 genera 123 families. Dicotyledons represented 554 taxa, monocotyledons 183, there 7 gymnosperms 10 pteridophytes. Almost half (363) herbaceous. families Fabaceae (sensu lato), Asteraceae Poaceae. three recorded species Psidium guajava, Passiflora edulis Bryophyllum pinnatum, dry areas, Aloe vera, Portulaca oleracea Carica papaya. total, 264 (35%) naturalized. common use ornamental (52%). Conclusions/Significance This extensive has increased known flora by 257 species, giving a ratio native 1.57∶1. It provides crucial baseline management archipelago contributes data meta analyses processes worldwide. A repeat future would an effective early detection tool help avoid further Park.
