摘要: The present investigation was undertaken to study the problem of generalization selection index in plant breeding. It found that specific indices brought about maximum genetic advance, provided they were used for populations. If these as “foreign indices” gain negligible. general indices, which based on corrected pooled information from different experiments, be efficient indices. problems sampling, populations and base population a crop species, application practical breeding programme have been discussed detail.
