摘要: The actions of a variety CNS-active drugs are mediated through interactions at the level specific neurotransmitter receptors. This is certainly true for opiate narcotics, which exert their principal effects by interacting with receptors whose endogenous ligands opioid peptides such as enkephalin and β-endorphin. conclusion has been obtained two general advances research. first, in 1973, was finding that labeled bound stereospecifically high affinity to receptor sites brain membranes. second advance occurred 1975 discovery opiate-like substances existed were characterized peptides, including pentapeptide enkephalins later, 31-amino acid peptide properties this new class candidates have described vast explosion literature review can cover small portion. emphasis will be on these binding recent information exploring whether display typical neurotransmitters. A number reviews details other aspects (Fredrickson, 1977; Miller Cuatrecascas, 1978; Simon Hiller, Terenius, Uhl etal., 1978a; Snyder Childers, 1979).
