摘要: Transit reliability is a critical measure of performance since it major factor used by customers in making decisions on travel rail and bus systems, especially urban areas. Several metrics are to assess the transit system which include time arrivals customer satisfaction. The Washington Metropolitan Authority (WMATA) established an arrival range two minutes earlier seven later than advertised scheduled at stops as for on-time performance. Most regional agencies, however, use one minute five their range. This research determined extent WMATA’s buses satisfy its goal 78% arrivals. data was also determine under one-minute early five-minutes-late several agencies from across United States. For 2-minute 7-minute late range, were found be approximately 82% (on average) during morning travel. In evening, same average, 68% considered on-time. resulted overall 75% modest improvement over 2010 74%. Using 1-minute 5-minute employed 67% 55% resulting 61%.
