摘要: The unknown thermonuclear rate of the 30P(p, γ)31S reaction at classical-nova temperatures currently prohibits accurate modeling nova nucleosynthesis in A ⩾ 30 region. This is hindering calibration thermometers based on observed O/S, S/Al, O/P, and P/Al abundance ratios ejecta, a meter to probe mixing core-envelope interface novae Si/H ratio, identification candidate pre-solar grains found primitive meteorites laboratory measurements their 30Si/28Si isotopic ratios. Each these diagnostics could address key questions our understanding classical if were known. We review progress determination leading critical assessment current interpretations published data prospects for future work.
