摘要: Despite the abundance of optimization models proposed so far in literature to improve performance or reduce deployment costs wireless mesh networks, only a few works have addressed explicitly minimization spectrum utilization these networks. Considering scarcity this critical resource mainly caused by tremendous recent developments technologies, we address paper problem minimizing number used radio channels while satisfying set end-to-end traffic demands. We formulate end mixed-integer linear program as cross-layer approach acting on various aspects, such channel assignment, power control, medium access and flow routing. Due expensive computational required find exact solutions, propose approximation schemes that provide near-optimal results reasonable amount time. illustrate impact parameters patterns, requested loads, network density total spectrum. Results show how knowledgeable exploitation spatial reuse can save significantly utilization.
