摘要: — The problem associated with short crack growth, defined as situations in which the intensity of tip field is underestimated by linear elastic fracture mechanics analyses, briefly reviewed. Two cases are identified, cracks growing plastically strained materials, such occurs high strain fatigue studies and at notch roots, small single grains close to limit plain specimens. Important mechanical metallurgical features discussed particular reference upper lower bound definition a crack.
