摘要: In the last five years, home health agencies have become increasingly interested in telemedicine as a potential means to meet future healthcare needs of their aged and chronically ill clientele. This case study examines organizational environmental conditions that affected implementation program one rural organization. Several factors restricted utilization telemedicine, including Medicare's Prospective Payment System corresponding documentation (Outcome Assessment Information Set), organization controlling grant funding for program, several factors. Findings suggest communities, older homecare patients may less opportunity benefit from telemedicine. The demonstrates importance when implementing program. Recommendations are offered organizations considering development programs.
