摘要: We report the demonstration of uplink a low-cost passive optical network (PON), utilizing superluminescent light emitting diode (SLED) as broadband source, coarse wavelength division multiplexer (CWDM) to slice spectrum into standard CWDM channels, and reflective semiconductor amplifier (RSOA) modulator at remote site. demonstrate 2.5-Gbps transmission over 1 km single-mode fiber for all four channels link (1511, 1531, 1551, 1571 nm), with bit rate error (BER) system measured be below 10−12. The main applications this communication are monitoring systems.
