摘要: Preferred gas generant compositions incorporate a combination of 5-aminotetrazole nitrate and an oxidizer. The oxidizer may be selected from group including nonmetal metal nitrates, nitrites, chlorates, chlorites, perchlorates, oxides. is characterized as oxygen-rich fuel therefore considered to self-deflagrating fuel. To tailor the oxygen balance in certain applications, however, use preferred. Methods formulating are also described. These especially suitable for inflating air bags actuating seatbelt pretensioners passenger-restraint devices.
