摘要: A simple mathematical model is presented to depict the filtration mechanism of crud or colloidal particles in ion exchange resin bed. In this process classified into four stages, corresponding increase deposited amounts on surfaces resins during process. first stage, it assumed that adhesion mainly controlled by electrokinetic interaction between particle and virgin resins, while third stage interact with already adsorbed resins. The second a transient period stages. final clogging effect becomes significant. At filtration, explains rapid decrease efficiency, which matter great concern from practical point view. comparison made laboratory experiments, using monodispersed ..cap alpha..-Fe/sub 2/O/sub 3/ as crud, found proposed seems quite reasonable.
