摘要: The effect of thymoquinone (TQ), the main constituent volatile oil black seed (Nigella sativa), on guinea-pig isolated tracheal zig-zag preparation was investigated. TQ caused a concentration-dependent decrease in tension smooth muscle precontracted by carbachol. effects were significantly potentiated pretreatment preparations with quinacrine, phospholipase A2 inhibitor, nordihydroguiaretic acid, lipoxygenase inhibitor and methylene blue, an soluble guanylyl cyclase. On other hand, not influenced indomethacin, cyclooxygenase propranolol, non-selective beta-adrenoceptor blocker or theophylline, adenosine receptors antagonist totally abolished pressor histamine serotonin ileum muscles. results present study suggest that induced relaxation is probably mediated, at least part, inhibition products arachidonic acid metabolism possibly blocking receptors. This relaxant TQ, further support traditional use seeds either alone combination honey to treat bronchial asthma.
