摘要: Abstract The dyeing behaviour of mercerized and gamma irradiated cotton fabric using stilbene based direct dye has been investigated. was treated with different concentrations alkali to optimize the mercerization. optimum absorbed doses 2, 4, 6, 8 10 kGy Cs-137 irradiator. Dyeing performed un-irradiated solutions. parameters such as temperature, time dyeing, pH solutions salt concentration were optimized. colour strength values dyed fabrics evaluated by comparing in CIE Lab system Spectra flash SF650. Methods suggested International Standard Organization (ISO) employed study effect irradiation on colourfastness properties fabric. It found that have not only improved but enhanced rating fastness also.
