摘要: John H. “Jack” Cover was the original inventor of TASER CEW technology. Mr. Chief Scientist at North American Aerospace when it prime contractor for National Aeronautics and Space Administration’s (NASA’s) Apollo Moon Landing program. Jack a dedicated physicist who in 1960s read about President Lyndon Johnson’s Crime Commission report that urged development nonlethal weapons to combat airplane hijacking, riots, civil unrest. Jack’s quest develop his first began 1966 he developed ECD working models named them after favorite childhood character: Tom A. Swift Electric Rifle (TASER). CEWs are now used by over 15,000 Law Enforcement agencies worldwide possess 550,000 U. As 1 June 2011, devices have been approximately 1.32 million times field 1.25 officer training. These numbers do not include large resolve violent encounter simply its brandishing or “painting” suspect with laser pointer sight.
