摘要: The study of ontogenetic and morphological changes in different species the brachiopod genus Caryona COOPER (Terebratulidae) from Lower Callovian‐Lower Oxfordian northern France shows a succession (and an interference) processes which vary according to characters studied. This is example “mosaic evolution”;. result heterochrony, especially acceleration hypermorphism. main phylogenetic tendency peramorphosis most characters. evolutionary pattern agrees with phyletic gradualism. Moreover, analysis internal demonstrates limited value these discrimination various genera.
