摘要: Poplars (species and interspecific hybrids of sections Aigeiros Tacamahaca), aspens (Leuce poplars) willows (Salix) exhibit a variety useful morphological, anatomical, physiological characteristics. Due to their fast growth the fact that they may be planted on many varied sites both in out forests, poplars, aspens, offer ample possibilities, especially temperate zones, providing additional sources raw material thus helping meet continually increasing demand for wood. For example, biomass plantations willow clones Sweden, at density about 20000 cuttings per hectare, cultivated by agricultural methods, harvested 2–4-year cycles, produced 12–15 oven-dry metric tonnes/hectare/year stem wood practical scale trials. In intensively field trials, yields have been reported exceeding 30 (Christersson 1987 a,b). Furthermore, these fast-growing trees can enrich forests higher-latitude regions, which are often lacking tree variety, give new appearance parts open landscape where there few bushes.
