摘要: Background: Review of literature suggest conflicting presence undernourishment as well overweightness in children with cerebral palsy. The purpose present study is to analyse body mass index different clinical types palsy respect their gross motor functions using GMFCS. Methods: prospective cross sectional observational was conducted on 50 CP (1- 18 yr old) at pediatric rehab centre. BMI (Kg/m2) calculated. Abilities & limitations were analyzed GMFCS -E R. Result: mean ambulatory non group 13.82 kg/m2& 13.14 kg/m2 respectively. There no significant difference terms between both p value 0.187 level significance 5%. Pearson correlation test applied and Level negative found r = - 0.174. out patients 58% having underweight. Amongst all underweight 34.48% Spastic quadriplegic CP. Conclusion: Underweight prevalent spastic Therapeutic measures should be taken prevent malnourishment. [Diwan S NJIRM 2014; 5(1) : 40-45]
