摘要: The GATA-1 transcription factor has been shown to be important in the regulation of globin and non-globin genes erythroid, megakaryocytic mast cell lineages. It is a member family GATA proteins which both overlap their expression patterns bind motif (A/T)GATA(A/G). are also members superfamily zinc finger-like domain have two similar domains type Cys-X2-Cys-X17-Cys-X2-Cys direct DNA binding protein. A random oligonucleotide selection procedure employed further elucidate mechanism GATA-1-DNA recognition. resulting oligonucleotides were tested for activity wild-type mutant proteins. Two classes interaction defined, first requiring only carboxy finger having GAT(A/T), second core (T/C)AAG. By using sequence comparison depurination analysis it concluded that different recognition motifs. Binding GAT(A/T) motifs associated with transcriptional activation linked genes. known (T/C)AAG distal CAAT-box promoter region human gamma-globin gene where appears regulate correct developmental suppression expression.
