摘要: Providing connectivity to around half of the world population living in rural or underprivileged areas is a tremendous challenge, but, at same time, unique opportunity. Access Internet would provide these possibility progress on educational, health, environment, and business levels. In this article, survey technologies for providing areas, which can help address provided. Although access/fronthaul backhaul techniques are discussed it noted that major limitation cost deployment. addition, energy requirements cost-efficiency studied analyzed. fact, challenges faced deploying an electricity network, as prerequisite communication networks, huge they granted important share discussions article. Furthermore, typical application scenarios discussed, several country-specific use cases surveyed. The main initiatives by key international players aiming also described. Moreover, directions future evolution outlined there no single solution solve all problems, building gradually current achievements order reach ubiquitous connectivity, while taking into account particularities each region tailoring accordingly, seems be most suitable path follow.
