Papillary cancer of the colon: a rare presentation with lower GI bleed and a review of the literature

摘要: Cancer is second only to Coronary Artery Disease in overall mortality the UnitedStates. Amongst all cancers, lung cancer most common and associatedwith highest related amongst both genders. Lung cancerspresent with metastasis about 50% of time [1]. The sites lungmetastases include adrenal glands, brain, bone, liver, lymph nodes, contralaterallung. However, gastrointestinal (GI) manifestations are rare.Most reported cases tractinvolve small bowel (2-5) occur through lymphatic spread. We present a rarecase primary papillary (subtype) adenocarcinoma recurring as lowerGI bleeding due colonic metastasis.
