摘要: This thesis examines and exposes the work of one most enigmatic of capitalist institutions – management consultancy as that financialisation. In recent decades financial markets have played an increasingly important role in the operations global economy, which has led to fundamental changes managerial practices modern corporation. In particular, many authors, from a variety of disciplines within social sciences, discussed ascendancy shareholder value as the ideology corporate governance. But what is rarely examined how shareholder value been disseminated installed good. At same time, there continues be widespread ignorance about major proponents of shareholder consultancies. short, we still do not know what consultancies do. I attempt address this lacuna by examining is practised consultancy. Through ethnography based on 16 months of fieldwork inside world’s largest consultancies, show that shareholder ethic production made through set sociotechnical practices are deployed pursuit ontological transformation – the enactment corporation asset. highlight importance of information technology (IT) endeavour, specifically, it incorporated in managerial techniques “corporate culture”, only orientate employees towards “needs” markets, but also constructs them as financial objects. The consultancies establish practice managing labour capital. draws analytical approaches science and technology studies examine complex managerial systems they operate to produce ethics capitalism; contributes existing anthropological scholarship on the “new economy”, subjectivities theories value, and provides novel example “fast capitalism” can captured, ethnographically, methodology collaboration.
