摘要: Abstract Water-soluble poly(ethylene glycol) monomethyl ether methacrylate (PEGMA) was used to modify aqueous colloidal silica (R301). The PEGMA surface-modified (R301-PEGMA) incorporated into a waterborne UV-curable polyurethane dispersion (WUPU) by phase-inversion emulsification. R301-PEGMA nanocomposite exhibited larger particles and lower viscosity than the WUPU/R301 dispersion. TEM, SEM, AFM results indicated that well dispersed integrated WUPU film its surface. DMA analysis demonstrated barely noticeable relaxation tan δ peaks were apparent for 10 wt% content, suggesting strong covalent bonding interactions between chain R301-PEGMA. functions effectively as multifunctional cross-linker reinforcing filler significantly enhances storage modulus relative of unmodified R301 film. resulting high-transparency films are promising number applications, including high-performance water-based coatings.
