Hereditary breast cancer: translation into clinical practice of recent American Society of Clinical Oncology, American Society of Radiation Oncology, and Society of Surgical Oncology recommendations.

摘要: Scientific acquisitions concerning the risk of breast cancer in context hereditary syndrome are constantly evolving: alongside BRCA1 and BRCA2 mutations, further ones have been identified, also associated with malignancies different sites. Therefore, management these clinical conditions requires a multidisciplinary shared approach, based on updated guidelines. The recent Expert Panel Consensus about cancer, chaired by Society Surgical Oncology American Clinical Radiation Oncology, evidences obtained systematic review literature, delineate accurate novel directions towards an appropriate surgical, radiation, systemic therapy patients specific germline mutations. These recommendations will provide to physicians useful tool treatment decision making daily practice.
