摘要: This paper presents a planning approach for the integration of open unified power quality conditioner (UPQC-O) in distribution network to improve its loss and (PQ). In UPQC-O model, series shunt inverters are not connected common DC-link. The inverter is used eliminate harmonics created by load provide reactive compensation. dual-purpose, i.e., protection all downstream loads from voltage sag, compensation healthy condition. objective function formulated as minimization energy under voltage, thermal overloading, desirable PQ constraints so determine location(s) size(s) these two inverters. particle swarm optimization (PSO) solution strategy. model incorporated into forward-backward sweep flow algorithm, which support subroutine PSO-based algorithm. results show that optimal placement provides significant reduction, bus improvement, better PQ.
