摘要: Temporal monitoring using remote sensing for topographic mapping requires continuous acquisition of image data. In many countries, but especially in the human Tropics, heavy cloud cover is a major drawback visible and infrared sensing. The research project presented this paper uses idea integrating data from optical microwave sensors digital fusion techniques to overcome problem. Additionally combination radar with increases interpretation capabilities reliability results due complementary nature images. While represents reflectance ground near-infrared, very sensitive shape, orientation, roughness moisture content illuminated objects. This investigates geometric aspect map updating. describes experiences gained an area north Netherlands (`Friesland') as calibration test site comparison first (`Bengkulu'), located on south west coast Sumatra Indonesia. used investigated was acquired by SPOT, Landsat, ERS-1 JERS-1.© (1995) COPYRIGHT SPIE--The International Society Optical Engineering.
