Aspects of digital evolution: Evolvability and architecture

摘要: This paper describes experiments to determine how the architecture vis-a-vis routing and functional resources affect ease with which combinational logic designs may be evolved on a field-programmable gate array (FPGA). We compare two chromosome representations differing levels of connectivity, show that amount resource have marked effect success evolutionary process.
