摘要: Abstract This two-part paper proposes an approach based on state-of-the-art numerical optimization methods for simultaneously determining the most profitable design and part-load operation of Combined Heat Power Organic Rankine Cycles. Compared to usual practice, important advantages proposed are (i) consider performance ORC at stage, (ii) optimize not only cycle variables, but also main turbine variables (number stages, stage loads, rotational speed). In this first part (Part A), model algorithm presented tested a real-world test case. PGS-COM, recently hybrid derivative-free algorithm, allows efficiently tackle challenging non-smooth black-box problem.
