摘要: Mucormycosis is a rare oportunistic infection typically described in diabetic patients with ketoacidotic status, as well neutropenic patients. The caused by group of saprophytic fungi the class Phycomicetes, being most frequent ones Rhizomucor, Rhizopus and Mucor. Its hystological findings include vascular trombosis tissue necrosis, predominantly rino-orbito-cerebral area. Even though frequency presentation very low, given its rapid evolution severe consequences which high mortality rate, it important to be aware main features disease treat promptly. Although diagnosis based on clinical suspect, computed tomography (CT) magnetic resonance image (MRI) plays an role determining extension. should receive treatment reference hospital so that multidisciplinary approach ensured. In this sense, we present case rhino-orbito-cerebralmucormycosis patient, recently treated our Department. A comprehensive review literature has been performed update physiopathology diagnosis. Finally, describe different options focusing surgical approach, medical amphotericine posaconzole
