摘要: Abstract The integration of ecosystem service (ES) knowledge into decision-making processes is increasingly endorsed by various policies and initiatives, with spatial planning targeted as one the most relevant fields. Learning feeding back from existing experiences therefore a fundamental step to ensure appropriate useful support ES science. This paper aims gather critically analyse how science contributes practices. Through systematic review literature about use in planning, we map level knowledge, scale case studies, type addressed; identify studies real-world applications. Studies explicitly aimed at supporting have increased over last decade, but are still scarce. reveal advantages integrating processes, mainly concerning practical aspects such synthesizing complex socio-environmental information promoting participation. Windows opportunity offered regulatory frameworks innovative instruments, marine plans strategic environmental assessments, key factors triggering integration. However, supportive contextual conditions necessary, including science-policy collaborations across entire process awareness among policy-makers stakeholders.
