Qualitative Detection of Hepatitis C Virus in the Patients Going Through Eye Surgery

摘要: Purpose: This study was carried out to analyze the prevalence of hepatitis C Virus in patient going through eye surgery. Material and Method: a prospective observational study conducted at Sindh Institute Ophthalmology Visual Sciences (SIOVS) Hyderabad from July 2013 June 2015. In this study, evaluation 5600 patients various ages undergoing surgeries being unaware infection were included. Each serologically screened by immunochromatography (ICT method) for qualitative detection antibodies Hepatitis before Result: Two thousand two hundred sixty four (40.43%) male 3336 (59.57%) female. Large numbers 4th 5th decade life both sexes. Of these patients, 713 (12.73%) positive antibodies. Majority them female (58.44%). Conclusion: The is higher our population. Therefore, it mandatory screen every B any surgical procedure. surgeon health care professional should take protective measures. used infected materials be destroyed properly.
