摘要: Abstract Aims This study aimed to determine the concentration and enzymatic activity of dipeptidyl peptidase 4 (DPP4) in serum peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) from patients with Hashimoto’s thyroiditis (HT) explore potential mechanism abnormal DPP4 HT development. Methods A total 33 newly diagnosed 31 age- sex-matched healthy controls were enrolled. Clinical characteristics thyroid function data collected for all participants. Serum kallikrein-related 5 (KLK5) concentrations measured by sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. activities PBMCs determined DPP4, KLK5 interferon (IFN)-γ mRNA expression levels evaluated quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction. Results level significantly lower group compared control group. However, was increased both decreased patients. Correlation analyses revealed that positively correlated serum. No significant difference found PBMCs. negatively IFN-γ Conclusions is involved development pathological process HT. Decreased cleavage membrane-anchored may be responsible
