摘要: Abstract Jatropha curcas seed matures in 42 days after anthesis (DAA) with ∼40% oil on dry weight basis. In this study, we report significant alterations sugar fluxes the inner integument, which might play a role endosperm development during course of ontogeny . The integument significantly contributed to up 32 DAA was followed by and maturity 40 DAA. rapidly lost its from 34 DAA, accompanied simultaneous gain endosperm. Incorporation studies 14 C-label showed that has ability take both [ C] sucrose or glucose whereas incorporated only glucose. most C label into esters (80%), while effectively glycerolipids no found ester component. Starch soluble analysis at revealed ∼54% tissue starch sugars amounted 10% content ranged 20 30%. It can be inferred specialised uptake for conversion mostly remaining utilised synthesis esters. A rapid developing fueled glycerolipid synthesis. Our data elucidate acts as transient storage later responsible accumulation lipids seed.
