摘要: Radiotelemetry was utilized to collect data on activity patterns movements habitat use and behavior of five (2 female 3 male) large spotted genets (Genetta maculata) captured monitored in the Rift Valley Kenya during June-August 1987. Genets were more active at night (83%) than day (10%) ranged over areas 1.1 10 km (males [xbar] = 5.9 km2; females 2.8 km2). They traveled a variety habitats but grasslands avoided. Daytime resting sites most often dense trees shrubs or cacti reused by both sexes especially lactating female. Home ranges overlapped between though foraging apparently solitary.
