摘要: Originally described over three hundred years ago, endometriosis is classically defined by the presence of endometrial glands and stroma in extrauterine locations. Endometriosis an inflammatory, estrogen-dependent condition associated with pelvic pain infertility. This work reviews disease process from theories regarding origin to molecular basis for sequelae. A thorough understanding histopathogenesis pathophysiology essential development novel diagnostic treatment approaches this debilitating condition.
