摘要: Fretting has been known for a long time but only recently the forms of wear which distinguish it from other processes have identified. The special feature fretting is debris entrapment in contact due to restricted amplitude sliding and layer structures formed among surfaces. nature layers controls characteristics material. very sensitive local conditions small changes system design may solve problem avoid an expensive equipment failure. Where such remedies are not available, lubricant or surface coating be effective. fatigue can cause quite unexpected reductions fracture stress components, particularly when combined with corrosion. Nominally static contacts as interference fits prone this form damage. most common mechanisms classified minor melting wear, electrical discharges, diffusive impact wear. From conceptual point view these important defining limits under extreme conditions. It seems that almost any process material transformation, mechanical, chemical, physical, basis mechanism.
