摘要: Hsp27, αB-crystallin and HSP22 are ubiquitous small heat shock proteins (sHsp) whose expression is induced in response to a wide variety of unfavorable physiological environmental conditions. These sHsp protect cells from otherwise lethal conditions mainly by their involvement cell death pathways such as necrosis, apoptosis or autophagy. At molecular level, the mechanisms accounting for functions (1) prevention denatured aggregation, (2) regulation caspase activity, (3) intracellular redox state, (4) function actin polymerization cytoskeleton integrity (5) proteasome-mediated degradation selected proteins. In cancer cells, these often overexpressed associated with increased tumorigenicity, metastatic potential resistance chemotherapy. Altogether, properties suggest that Hsp22 appropriate targets modulating pathways. present, we briefly review recent reports showing evidence co-chaperones.
