摘要: Abstract Architects have a key role to play when it comes the design of future low-energy (solar) buildings. Proper tools and working methods could help architects in process. In order identify barriers existing for solar design, needs improved tools, gain an insight into architects’ during process, international survey was carried out within framework IEA-SHC Task 41-Solar Energy Architecture, combined with semi-structured interviews. This paper presents overview main results this study. Both interviews strongly indicate need further development architecture, focusing on user-friendly, visual tool that is easily interoperable current modelling software packages, which generates clear meaningful are compatible work flow architect. Furthermore, also indicated strong awareness about aspects among respondents. However, limited use knowledge energy technologies, suggesting skill amongst accelerate implementation these technologies buildings urban fabric.
