摘要: Dilute TbxTh1−x alloys have been thoroughly studied in the light of a possible valence instability and Kondo effect Tb3+ Tb4+ ions. We review experimental data for specific heat, magnetic susceptibility, magnetization, magnetoresistivity, change superconducting properties Th. In analogy to Tm (Tm2+ Tm3+) Pr (Pr3+ Pr4+) impurities metals, Tb involves two electronic configurations each with Hund’s rule ground multiplet. Two classes models admixtures investigated past. Depending on form hybridization jj coupling within 4f shell, either singlet or state. As latter class models, related undercompensated effect, appears describe system TbTh more appropriately. A qualitative explanation is attempted scheme that combines screening crystalline field splitting.
