摘要: The problem of stabilizing a bulk power system by modulating controllable active loads is investigated. With today's advances in distribution and home automation, fibre optic communications networking, such scheme for improving the reliability supply increasingly attractive. After developing generic model load-modulation studies, time domain modal analysis applied to three-machine-nine-bus order assess quantitatively its responsiveness with respect controller location observed response signals. This structural shows that proportional control unsatisfactory may artificially restrict economic benefits active-load modulation. By contrast, using bus voltage frequency as input signals, combined suitable dynamic compensators, yields fully decentralized, two-loop load stabilizer able add damping all grid modes sample system. Finally, placement sizing issues are considered preliminary observations based on transient stability studies made.
