摘要: Abstract With the increased detections of commonly used pharmaceuticals in surface water and wastewater, extensive attentions were paid recently to fate transport these environment. Amitriptyline (AMI) is a tricyclic antidepressant widely applied treat patients with anxiety depression. In this study, removal AMI palygorskite clay (PFl-1) was investigated under different physico-chemical conditions supplemented by instrumental analyses. The uptake on PFl-1 well fitted Langmuir isotherm an adsorption capacity 0.168 mmol g−1 at pH 6–7. fast reached equilibrium 15 min. X-ray diffraction patterns showed no shift (110) peak position after uptake. However, (001) minor component smectite (about 10%) shifted lower angle as amounts input increased. These results suggested interlayer smectite. As common clays, its role assessing properties performances clays for contaminants should not be neglected. Overall, high affinity strong retention that it could good adsorbent remove from wastewater. Palygorskite can also sink many cationic environmental arid regions.
