摘要: Abstract Ten different compounded diets containing linoleic acid, C18: 2ω6 and linolenic 3ω3, in varying proportions, were fed to Palaemon serratus (Crustacea Decapoda) the resultatn growth rates measured. These results then compared with those obtained from a diet cod-liver-oil rich long-chain poly-unsaturated fatty acids, C20: 5ω3 C22: 6ω, natural food. Growth all cases superior acid. The best latter when 2ω6/C18: 3ω3 ratio equalled 2.2. Compounded acids this proportion produced lowest 5ω3, 6ω3, content specimens examined. would appear be capable of synthesizing 6ω3 3ω3. are improved supplied directly diet.
