摘要: There exists a growing interest in automating border irrigation after large number of irrigated farms South East Australia have upgraded their layout design. Several manufacturing companies are producing automated equipment which rely on controllers fitted with timers or field water sensors to monitor the advance front down (bay). Labor saving together potential for increase pasture yield and additional flexibility perform other farming tasks main benefits considered by farmers who decide adopt automation. Environmental can also be realized provided that system is properly managed. Correct sensor placement timer setting critical factors achieve high hydraulic performance as they influence application efficiency typical event much 40%. Further efforts will required future incorporate feedback control, improve operational reliability adapt existing systems develop new ones meet requirements techniques such surge flow.
