摘要: Photodynamic therapy (PDT) is now in clinical practice many European and American countries as a minimally invasive therapeutic technique to treat oncologic malignancies other nononcologic conditions. Phthalocyanines (Pcs) are gathering importance effective photosensitizers targeted PDT imaging of tumors. The possibility modification around the Pc macrocycle led researchers synthesis diversity with varied cell specificity, cellular internalization localization, photodynamic cytotoxicity excretion. Cellular targeting primary aspect an ideal photosensitizer for PDT. Therefore, Pcs have been structurally modified variety biomolecules capable recognizing specific lesions. This review emphasizes photocytotoxicity uptakes phthalocyanine conjugated including carbohydrates, nucleotides protein constituents such amino acids peptides. In addition, role Pc-biomolecule conjugates antimicrobial chemotherapy has discussed.
