摘要: The percentage retention of aliphatic hydrocarbons from relatively simple mixtures administered intragastrically to rats is shown be an inverse linear function carbon number, at least for major components the mixtures. Retention (intake minus excretion) reduced by treatment with certain antibiotics or feeding amounts hydrocarbon in excess 320 mg/kg body weight as a single dose. Bacterial degradation paraffin feces, and recirculation intact bile apparently do not occur significant extent under conditions tested. The major, if only significant, site absorption ingested small intestine. No conspicuous difference ability take up everted sac experiments was seen between duodenum, jejunum ileum, although duodenal sacs released its metabolic products into serosal medium more rapidly than did ileum. primary recipient absorbed vivo lymph, but there some evidence hexadecane or, perhaps likely, products, directly portal blood.
