摘要: This invention provides compacted carbon that is useful in the electrode of an alkali metal/carbon electrochemical cell improved capacity selected from group consisting of: (a) coke having following properties: (i) x-ray density at least 2.00 grams per cubic centimeters, (ii) a closed porosity no greater than 5%, and (iii) open 47%; (b) graphite 2.20 25%. also relates to for comprising as described above binder. further comprising: above, non-aqueous electrolytic solution organic aprotic solvent electrolytically conductive salt metal, (c) counterelectrode.
