摘要: Abstract This paper provides some quantitative estimates of the various effects alternative trade strategies on industrial employment expansion. A simple identity is deployed to compare experience India and Taiwan from 1950 1970 during which two countries took very different paths towards industrialization. Capital accumulation productivity growth have affected in both but crucial difference between found structural change effect. In Taiwan, structure shifted labour-intensive sectors, while India, capital-intensive industries, explains part faster rate expansion Taiwan.
