摘要: Abstract X-ray powder diffraction and DC magnetization studies were performed on the polycrystalline Nd 1− x Gd Mn 2 Si (0≤ ≤1) compounds. Magnetic properties examined between 5 700 K in applied fields up to 50 kOe. All compounds investigated crystallize ThCr -type structure with space group I 4/ mmm . Substitution of for leads a linear decrease lattice constants unit cell volume. In χ ( T ) curves above room temperature, all samples show clear peak coinciding Neel temperature due antiferromagnetic coupling ferromagnetic layers. At low temperatures below about 60 K, rare earth sublattice orders also layers becomes ferromagnetic. The =0.2 0.6 exhibit spin reorientation phenomenon. terms mean field two-sublattice model, values intrasublattice constant n 11 intersublattice 12 phase have been derived from dependence magnetic susceptibility.
