The includes: electro-mechanical brake actuator (EMAbrake) proximate a wheel of the aircraft, EMAbrake including motor; controller (EMAC) motor generating drive signal EMAbrake; control unit (BCU) force command EMAC during normal mode operation; and emergency (eBCU) operating mode. eBCU is disposed together with in common line replaceable (LRU).
