摘要: Abstract Thallium iodide crystals were grown by diffusion of NaI and TINO 3 solutions through silica hydrogels, in which had been previously mixed. TII the stable α-phase (orthorhombic) unstable β-phase (cubic) gels at 25°C. The number density was much higher size smaller mixed with than NaI. It found that growth essentially proceeded following order: formation as rhombic dodecahedra, transformation into without change shape, α-crystals elongating along [100] axis spreading on (010) plane. Tl 2 I single also grew hexagonal rods when there a deficiency supply + ions.
