Electron momentum density in nickel

摘要: The Compton profiles of single crystals nickel have been measured by two independent research groups using 412 keV gamma -ray spectrometers. sets data obtained to high statistical and systematic accuracy ( sigma approximately=0.2%J(0)) are in good mutual agreement. anisotropy is found be significantly reduced with respect that predicted an LCGO band-structure calculation performed within the local density approximation for electron correlation. Absolute directional strongly suggest cause this discrepancy breakdown independent-particle momentum first-series transition metals. Correlation effects shown twice as large those case copper reported previously.
